Last Day at Work Leaving Bashes Pitfalls and Perks
I'm moving on after years at my current job , and as tradition dictates am I have to organise my own bash. I'm Not that far up the food chain to let some body for it for me.

Please feel free to furnish me with your tales good and bad at
These events, what are the pitfalls and perks of being the person everyone one wants to say fuck off to.

I'm not expecting a large turn out and sadly no Spoons in
Hampstead.

Re: Last Day at Work Leaving Bashes Pitfalls and Perks
The last time I packed in a job someone else left on the same day so a right royal piss up in the pub was the order of the day.

Naturally I got PISSED and some silly sods started demanding speeches from the two of us. The other leaver got up on the table and spouted a load of utter claptrap for a good 5 minutes. The only way for me to follow her speech was to keep it simple so I just told the assembled throng that they were all cunts.

Job done.

unhammered, be careful how you reply to the managers joke of thanking you for your 7.5 years of work

My last day tomorrow after 27.5 years in the same job. There's a presentation and I have to say a few words, dreading it.

I changed the 1st letters of a managers name on his keyboard so it was locking him out when he tried to login, I was told it took him an hour and a few frustrated calls to the helpdesk before he realised what I had done on my last day in his team.

Only decent one I had was in CROYDON. Work lads and ladies got me a new West Ham shirt. I was touched. I guess I had been rambling too much in work without realising! Got stupidly drunk and put shirt on ended up shouting to no-one in the streets. Ha. LONG TIME AGO.

IRONSSSSSSSS

Never understood the tradition where someone leaving (or having a birthday etc) was meant to pay for a bunch of other people to drink themselves silly.
Always thought the celebrating person should never be allowed to put their hand in their pocket AT ALL.
If you liked them you wanted to give them a good send off.
If you didn’t you didn’t bother turning up

Went to a leaving do past Friday in piccolinos in exchange square.

Pitfall was other than I despise drinking places like this, was supposedly a free bar and I still spent 90 notes.

Tight cunts.

250 notes to hire a room at some poncey pub, just up the road from the coffee and cottage. Might just fuck off to Camden.

Any thanks for the input so far you borring bastards.

Coffee shop just outside the Royal Free?

Cosy enough for a small number of people, and home nice and early.

Nice and quiet too.

If you’re a contractor then it’s your day rays behind the bar.

nothing can beat the last day of a couple of YOP lads back in the day @ Rank Xerox - this was in the days when networking was just being realised and they had about 30 dedicated terminals in their building that allowed people to * gosh* look at emails and access system and presentations on big screens - annnnnyways these lads managed to download a couple of asian girls and a ping pong show and had it playing allover they building and changed all the passwords before they fuckd off home for good ;-)
